Upgrade or downgrade a plan
Change the resources on a Victus Cloud service — more RAM, CPU or disk — or move to a smaller plan, and understand how the price change is billed.
You can scale a Victus service up or down as your needs change — for example give a Minecraft server more RAM, add disk to a VPS, or drop to a smaller plan to save credits. Plan changes are made on the billing portal, which then updates the resources on your service in the control panel.
Change your plan
- 1Log in to billing.victuscloud.com.
- 2Open your Services list and select the service to change.
- 3Open the upgrade / downgrade (change plan or configurable options) section for that service.
- 4Pick the new resource tier or adjust the configurable options (RAM, CPU, disk, ports).
- 5Confirm — the new recurring price and any prorated adjustment are shown before you commit.
Restart to apply new resources
After an upgrade takes effect, restart the affected service in the control panel (control.victuscloud.com) so the new RAM / CPU limits are applied. For a VPS the change may require a reboot of the machine.
Downgrades need enough free space
Before downgrading disk on a VPS or a server, make sure your current usage fits inside the smaller allocation. Shrinking below what is already in use can fail or risk data loss — clean up or back up first.
Billing is prorated
When you upgrade mid-cycle, you are charged the difference for the remaining time; the higher price then applies from the next renewal. Downgrades take effect at the next cycle so you are not charged twice.
