Create your first Minecraft server
Order a Minecraft server on Victus, choose your software (egg) and version, then start it in the panel and connect your client.
A Minecraft server on Victus is created by ordering a paid game plan in Victus Billing or claiming eligible free hosting from the main website, then managing it in Victus Panel. Each server has Console, Files, Databases, Schedules, Users, Backups, Network, Startup and Settings. The server software (Paper, Purpur, Spigot, Fabric, Forge, Vanilla, Velocity) is set by its template, and the exact version is chosen from Startup.
Step 1 — Order and provision
- 1For paid hosting, order a Minecraft plan from Victus Billing. For free hosting, claim from victuscloud.com/free; do not look for a recurring free order in Billing.
- 2Pick the software/egg for the plan if offered (Paper is the recommended all-round default).
- 3Wait for provisioning to finish — your service is then linked to a server on the game panel.
Step 2 — Set the version and start it
- 1Log in to control.victuscloud.com and select your new server.
- 2Open the Startup tab and check the version variable (for example the Minecraft/build version). Leave it as latest, or set the exact version you want.
- 3Open the Console tab and press Start. On first boot the server downloads the JAR and generates files.
- 4If the log says you must accept the EULA, follow "You must accept the EULA", then Start again.
- 5Wait until the console prints "Done" — the server is now online.
Step 3 — Connect
- 1Open the Network tab and copy the server address (IP and port / allocation).
- 2In Minecraft, add a server using that exact IP:port and join.
Default port
Java Minecraft uses port 25565. If your allocation uses a different port you must include it in the address (for example play.example.com:25580). Always take the address from the Network tab rather than guessing.
You are live
Once the console shows "Done", use Start / Stop / Restart on the Console tab to control the server any time. Next, make yourself op and set up backups.
