How the free plan works

The current free-hosting lifecycle: automated provisioning, idle sleep, wake-on-join, weekly renewal and retention rules.

freelimitslifecyclesleepwake on joinrenewal

Victus free hosting has no fixed lifetime while you remain eligible and complete the required renewals. It is not an always-on plan: idle servers sleep, and the managed Waiting Proxy wakes supported Minecraft servers when a player connects.

BehaviourWhat it means
ProvisioningLaunchpad automatically creates or links the required account records and provisions the server in Victus Panel.
Initial power stateA newly provisioned server can be stopped. Use its managed hostname or Start in Victus Panel.
Idle sleepAn empty free server can stop automatically. Files and worlds remain stored.
Wake-on-joinConnecting through the assigned managed hostname places you in a waiting flow while the backend starts, then transfers you automatically.
Weekly renewalRenew in Victus Panel before the displayed deadline. Renewal uses the panel free-hosting/COINS system; it is not a new billing-store order.
RetentionMissing the deadline suspends the server. The current configured post-suspension deletion window is 10 days; rely on the exact deadline shown in Victus Panel.
Fair useOne free server per person. Mining, attacks, resource abuse, alting and other prohibited activity can cause policy suspension.

What “no expiration” means

There is no predetermined end date for an eligible free server. It can continue indefinitely while you renew on time and follow the free-hosting policy. “No fixed lifetime” does not mean renewals, idle sleep or anti-abuse enforcement are removed.
