Why my upload failed (507 / 500 errors)

If an upload to https://drive.victuscloud.com stops partway or refuses to start, the HTTP status code in the error tells you what went wrong. The two you are most likely to see are 507 and 500 — they have different causes and different fixes.

507 Insufficient Storage — you are over quota

A 507 means the upload would exceed your available storage. Most often that is your 10 GB account quota, but it can also mean the underlying Drive server itself is low on disk. The fix on your side is to reclaim space.

1. 1Open Settings and check your usage bar — confirm whether you are near 10 GB.
2. 2Empty the Deleted files (trash) area; deleted files still occupy quota until purged.
3. 3Delete or archive large files and clear old file versions.
4. 4Retry the upload once the usage bar shows enough free space for the file.

500 Internal Server Error — the server hiccuped

A 500 is a server-side error rather than a quota problem. It usually means the request could not be completed — a timeout on a very large file, a momentary overload, or the Drive host under pressure. It is not caused by anything wrong with your file.

• Wait a minute and retry — transient 500s often clear on their own.
• For very large files, upload over a stable wired connection and keep the tab open so chunked upload can resume.
• Try one large file at a time instead of many parallel uploads.
• Split an enormous archive into smaller parts if a single huge file keeps timing out.
