Upload, organise and sync files

Get files into Victus Drive by browser upload or drag-and-drop, organise them into folders, and keep a folder in sync automatically with the Nextcloud clients.

This guide covers the day-to-day file work in Victus Drive: getting files in, keeping them tidy in folders, and syncing a folder so your local machine and the cloud stay identical. Everything happens in the Nextcloud web app at https://drive.victuscloud.com or through the sync clients.

Upload files

  1. 1Sign in at https://drive.victuscloud.com and open the folder you want files to land in.
  2. 2Click the "+ New" button and choose "Upload files", or drag files straight from your computer onto the file list.
  3. 3You can also drag an entire folder onto the list — modern browsers recreate its subfolder structure for you.
  4. 4Watch the progress bar at the top of the file list; the item appears once the transfer finishes.

Large uploads resume automatically

Drive uploads big files in chunks, so a brief connection drop does not restart the whole transfer. Keep the browser tab open until the progress bar completes. If a large upload is rejected outright, it is almost always a quota issue — check your usage first.

Organise into folders

  • Create a folder with the "+ New" button → "New folder", then drag files into it to build a tidy tree.
  • Rename or move an item from its "..." (actions) menu, or drag it onto another folder.
  • Add items to Favourites (the star) so they surface quickly in the Favourites view.
  • Use the search box at the top to find files across all of your folders by name.

Sync a folder automatically

The Nextcloud desktop client keeps a local folder and your Drive in continuous two-way sync: drop a file in the synced folder on your PC and it uploads on its own; delete it and it is removed in the cloud (and vice-versa). This is the most reliable way to work with many files.

  1. 1Install and log the Nextcloud desktop client into https://drive.victuscloud.com (see "Log in to Drive").
  2. 2Choose a local sync folder, or select specific remote folders to sync down.
  3. 3Work in that folder normally — changes propagate automatically in both directions.
  4. 4Use "Virtual files" / selective sync to keep space-heavy folders in the cloud only until you need them.

Deletes sync both ways

When two-way sync is on, deleting a file locally deletes it in Drive too. Recoverable copies land in the Deleted files (trash) area for a limited time, but do not treat sync as a substitute for keeping an independent backup of anything critical.

Prefer a network drive?

If you would rather not keep a full local copy, mount Drive over WebDAV at https://drive.victuscloud.com/remote.php/dav/files/USERNAME/ using an app password, and browse it like any other network location.
