Drive storage limits and quotas
Understand the 10 GB Victus Drive quota — how usage is counted, how to check it, what happens when you run out, and how to reclaim space.
Every standard Victus Drive account has a 10 GB storage quota. Because Drive is Nextcloud, "usage" is not just your visible files — it also includes items you may forget about, such as trashed files and older file versions. Knowing what counts is the key to staying under the limit.
What counts toward your quota
- Files and folders you have uploaded or created.
- Files pulled from a remote URL directly into Drive.
- Files other people drop into your upload-enabled ("file drop") shared folders.
- Items still sitting in the Deleted files (trash) area — they occupy quota until the trash is emptied.
- Previous versions retained by version history on frequently-edited files.
Check your current usage
- 1Sign in at https://drive.victuscloud.com.
- 2Open your personal settings from the account avatar at the top-right.
- 3The storage/usage bar shows how much of your 10 GB is used and how much remains.
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Upload that fits within 10 GB | Completes normally; the usage bar rises. |
| Upload that would exceed 10 GB | Rejected before completing — you may see a 507 Insufficient Storage error. |
| Deleting a file | Quota is freed only once the file also leaves the Deleted files (trash) area. |
| Editing a file repeatedly | Old versions in version history can quietly consume part of your quota. |
507 = out of room
A 507 Insufficient Storage error on upload means the transfer would push you past your quota. Free up space (below) and retry. If quota is clearly free but 507 persists, the Drive host may be low on disk — check https://status.victuscloud.com and open a ticket.
Free up space
- Empty the Deleted files (trash) area — trashed files count until purged.
- Clear old versions from version history on large, frequently-edited files.
- Delete large files you no longer need, or move them onto the game server / VPS they belong to.
- Compress a folder of many small files into a single archive before storing it.
Need more than 10 GB?
The 10 GB quota is the standard allocation. If your workflow genuinely needs more, open a Discord ticket or use the on-site support widget to ask about a larger allocation.
